A comprehensive eye exam not only determines your children’s prescription for glasses but also helps our team familiarize themselves with your child’s visual needs.

Children’s Eye Exam Frequency
Children’s vision is ever-changing and undergoing development, so consistent eye exams are essential to monitoring changes. The American Optometric Association recommends the following eye exam frequency for children:
- First exam at 6 to 12 months of age
- At least 1 exam between 3 and 5 years of age
- 1 exam before first grade
- Annually from 6 through 17 years of age
Our team may recommend additional eye exams outside the recommended frequency, depending on your child’s unique visual needs.
